Screenplays

“Note to Self: Love”

Debbie has written a completed screenplay for her novel, Note to Self: Love. It’s a dramedy about a struggling, New York City actress with an Italian food fetish and cynical wit rediscovers life when her perfectly planned suicide is interrupted by a stranger on the street and a spirit guide who teaches her life’s greatest lessons.

“Vita’s Will”

Based on Debbie’s book, Vita’s Will, Real Life Lessons about Life, Death and Moving On, the story lends itself to a TV movie or mini series. It’s about a young rising corporate star whose life is derailed by the tragic deaths of four family members in four years. Tuesdays With Morrie meets Chicken Soup for the Soul® as Debbie brings humor, sorrow and life lessons into the horrors of hospitals, the lost dreams of her parents, and the shock of her sister’s suicide. The screenplay for this project has not been written.
